Bertelsmann India Investments (BII) is the India arm of Bertelsmann Investments, the venture capital platform of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann (founded 1835). Active in India since 2012, BII is a sector-agnostic venture capital fund investing directly from Bertelsmann's own balance sheet — not a traditional fund with external LPs and a fund-life clock — into early growth-stage tech startups.
